Mickey Cowden joined the T/TAC at Virginia Tech in June 2009 to support the technology needs of the center and staff. Mickey received a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Mathematics in 2004 from Virginia Tech. He worked for Virginia Tech for over two years doing software development and database administration to support the data mining efforts of researcher staff. Mickey then worked in the private sector for another two years focusing on application development in the field of communication in emergency response and web development for business application. Mickey’s interests include learning, developing, and applying technology to help others in their day-to-day tasks.
