Teresa Lyons joined T/TAC in July of 2006. Teresa came to T/TAC after working for several years as an autism/inclusion specialist with the Roanoke County Schools. Prior to this position, Teresa worked in the classroom as an early childhood special education teacher and a teacher of children with autism at the elementary level, both with the Roanoke City Schools.
Teresa received her Bachelor,s degree in child study-elementary and special education - from St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, NY. She received her Master's in special education from Lynchburg College in December of 2004.
Teresa's areas of expertise and interest in supporting educators are autism, assistive technology, severe cognitive disabilities, and behavior support.
