6th Annual Autism Spectrum Disorders Conference

Autism Conference 2009

At our 6th Annual Autism Spectrum Disorders Conference held in April of 2009, our keynote speaker was Carol Schall, Ph.D. who has been learning from and supporting individuals with autism for over 25 years.  She is involved in supporting individuals across Virginia through her work as the director of the Virginia Autism Resource Center at Virginia Commonwealth University.  Her research areas include autism and the transition to adulthood, teacher competency in autism, and the implementation of positive behavior support for individuals with ASD.  

Dr. Schall delivered a keynote presentation on Career Development and Self Determination:  Essential Transition Activities for Elementary through High School Aged Students with ASD.
