What is SEL? Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process of developing the self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work, and life success. The creators of Second Step show what social-emotional skills are and the important role they play throughout our lives.
This video reviews the purpose for social distancing and how to thrive during this stay-at-home time with good personal habits and thoughtful family interactions such as maintaining schedules, self-control, managing anxiety, sharing the housework, being pleasant, apologizing, and knowing when you need space from others.
